Daylight Savings Time - A Good Time to Remember to Change Your Smoke Detector Battery
Posted On: Nov 01, 2014

Remember to change your clocks and smoke alarm batteries when daylight savings time ends tonight.

3 out of 5 home fire deaths result from fires in homes without a working smoking alarm, according to the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA). IAFF Local #2876 firefighters remind you to not only change your clock when Daylight Savings Time ends, but the batteries in your smoke alarms.
